SIX VIEWS OF LIFE
Transforming the Illusion

Six Views

of Life

with An-shu Stephen K. Hayes

The hero's life is a journey through the
"six realms of hopes and dreams."

The true hero is on a noble quest to empower others towards the higher experience of the significance of life that can only come from enlightened vision.

Life seems overwhelming to the unenlightened, due to their stubborn desire to believe as highest truth their own habitually deluded ideas of how life should work.

Pierce through the illusion

Dismantle the delusion

Cultivate from the roots of negativity the blossoms of wisdom

Stephen K. Hayes - How to Own the World

"Each of the realms exists as a state of mind that dictates the manner in which one sees the world, encounters obstacles, and meets enemies."

An-Shu Stephen K. Hayes - Ninja Realms of Power

Is my view of the world helping me
or is it holding me back?

Each perceptual "realm of existence" is a viewpoint that we adopt of our environment based our life experiences. This view is a sort of self-calibration of where and how we fit in with the world around us. It influences how we operate every single day, in every single situation. And it is often misleading.

Quite often it's easier to first examine these phenomena in other people.

Do you know someone who truly believes that there isn't enough to go around? Always a day late and a dollar short, they live in constant helplessness.

Or someone who believes that everyone is out to get them?
Challengers come from all angles, as they live in a state of constant confrontation.

These states of existence are defense mechanisms, fabricated to protect oneself against perceived enemies.  Their allure is so powerful, the contamination so pervasive, that they become invisible to their inhabitants.  One trapped in their delusional realm of perceived contention may find it impossible to believe that everyone else does not also experience life from the outlook of their specific realm.

Imagine how different your life could look if you were able to identify your "realm of existence," and escape the limitations that come with that point of view!

"The ultimate goal of warrior enlightenment training is to transcend all six of the realms of limited perception.

Upon leaving behind the six realms, one rises to a state of living in which limits imposed by preconceived ideas about what one will find in life have vanished.

From that point of transcendence, life becomes a place of freedom and natural harmony.  Once the six are left behind, the concept of enemies also vanishes.

From that point of escaping the need to struggle, those agents that are perceived as presenting the cause of the struggle also vanish."

Stephen K. Hayes, Ninja Realms of Power

Community as a key to lasting growth

Sangha is the Sanskrit word for community or assembly. It is one of the keys to success on the path of personal development.

Quite often people attend classes or seminars from great teachers, but the learning support ends with the closing speech. After a few days, the energy of the event fades and the positive momentum of meaningful change fizzles out. We fall back into our old habits.

This teaching series is designed to keep the momentum going!

An-shu presents a lesson, and we follow up a week later with a discussion led by senior community leader and ordained shugenja, Jim McFarland.
Bring your burning questions to Mr. McFarland and he
will assist you in integrating the teachings into your daily life.

Plus you'll gain access to our discussion group on Facebook, wherein members of the community seek answers, share wisdom, and contribute to the advancement of others on the path.

Each of us brings a lifetime of experience and a unique perspective to the group. Your insights may illuminate something from the lesson that someone else missed.
And theirs may do the same for you.

Have a question?

If I miss a class, will I be able to watch a video recording?

Yes, each registered participant will receive a link and lifetime access* to review the class sessions.

*Lifetime access is dependent on YouTube's continued hosting of the video content.

I'm new here. Can I still attend if I've never attended a mind-science class here before?

Absolutely! An-shu Hayes and Mr. McFarland are masterful teachers with a talent for making complex concepts understandable for beginners, while simultaneously granting advanced insight for experienced participants.

Is this practice religious?

These teachings come from Buddhist and Shugendo practices, but nobody here is asking you to identify as a Buddhist or to join any religion.

These teachings are designed to help you become a better whatever you already are.
This is often why we use the term "mind-science." These lessons are more like an empirical research study of how the mind operates, not a Western style of worship.

Through this series I have experienced a sense of empowerment and confidence previously unknown to me.

I have become more conscious of the core beliefs that have been inhibiting me and am developing more beneficial perspectives.

As my mindset has shifted I have developed more agency, making choices that have created significant breakthroughs in personal challenges that I have been unable to make through years of weekly therapy and lots of personal development work alone.

KONGOKAI SERIES PARTICIPANT

Kim / Research Psychologist, Program Manager

Mr. McFarland, Mr. Hayes and the group invite us to question and think for ourselves and to see the humor in how human it is to practice.

The methods have helped me see habits that have been in my blind spots. They point to the inner obstacles that inhibit growth and offer concrete ways to develop new patterns. I especially liked the question from Mr. Hayes, “What is a quality you describe to yourself as a strength that actually gets in your way?”

The ideas they have taught about are practical and can be put into action in big and small areas of life right away.
